If the "88" gram weight is for the total weight of this watch, the case would be around 1/2 the total weight, FWIW. The case does not have the look of one of AWCCo's heavier cases to me. I do not know how common it was to use the Canadian AWCCo's cases for such watches.īased on the gold present in the case, mixed with Engle, Gilbert, and Shugart's opinion on case prices in 2013 (Based on similar gold prices as today.), I'd guess you'd probably be looking at around $1,200-1,500 for the watch. And the dial is very much in the style of Waltham's exports to Britain. The case in particular, with the "buckle-shield" cartouche calls that out to me. The watch reminds me of a style, dial-wise and case-wise, that would have been an export to Britain.

While it is a very clean watch overall, the movement is fairly common and is somewhere near the middle of the road for Waltham's wares. The value of the watch is mostly tied up in the gold in the case.
